Overview
Callio Earthworks, a division of Pratt Home Builders, is seeking laborers/operators experienced in site development and grade work. Candidates should be experienced in basic heavy equipment. Experience laying storm, sewer, and utilities is a plus. Employment is year-round, long-term, stable, and local with 50+ hour weeks being the norm.

Key Responsibilities
• Use machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and skid steers for site preparation and grading.
• Maintain safe and efficient operation of all equipment on job sites.
• Assist with residential and commercial site prep work including cutting, filling, and leveling terrain.
• Ensure accurate grading according to construction plans and specifications.
• Perform manual labor including shoveling, compacting, moving materials, and assisting with pipe laying.
• Support site supervisors and operators with miscellaneous construction tasks.
• Conduct daily inspections and minor maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Report any mechanical issues promptly to reduce downtime.
• Follow company safety standards and OSHA regulations at all times.
• Work closely with other crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
• Communicate clearly with foremen and other team members on job site progress.
Qualifications
• Be proficient in operating compactor, skid steer, loader, off-road dump truck, basic hand tools, and measuring tape
• Be able to construct/grade new roads, build pads and water retention ponds to a proper slope and grade specifications
• Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals and with attention to surroundings
• Tolerate working in dust, dirt, loud noise, rain, and hot or cold climates
• Be able to properly lift 50lbs. Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Be willing to work 50+ hours per week including overtime and weekends.
• Keep all work areas clean and orderly, informing management promptly of any safety concerns. Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Report directly to the supervisor or foreman in a timely manner and to worksite or meetings as directed
• Be drug-free and remain drug-free during the duration of employment.
• Must E-verify with two valid forms of ID. Must pass a background check (No Felonies)
• Have a clean driving record with a valid state driver’s license (3-year MVR)
• Have a High school diploma/GED and/or Trade.
