Chris Scott Named 2026 Realtor of the Year by Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors

Chattanooga, TN – Pratt Home Builders proudly announces that Chris Scott, New Home Consultant, has been named Realtor of the Year by the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors. Selected from nearly 3,000 local Realtors, this prestigious honor recognizes outstanding service, leadership, professionalism, and commitment to the real estate community.
When Scott heard his name called at Friday morning’s awards ceremony, his reaction was immediate and heartfelt.
“I was shocked, humbled, appreciative, and grateful,” Scott said.
Though relatively new to real estate, Scott’s impact has been significant. Since transitioning into the industry just a few years ago, he has quickly established himself as a trusted advisor, active association member, and relationship driven professional.
“This award is a reminder to never stop reinventing yourself, irrespective of age,” Scott shared.
Scott began his real estate journey in 2019 after years of bartending, including one pivotal evening tending bar at a Berkshire Hathaway event where several Realtors encouraged him to consider a career change. While the suggestion initially went in one ear and out the other, the idea stayed with him.
“On the drive home, it hit me,” he recalled. “I enjoyed bartending, but I knew it was not something that would carry me into retirement. That was the night I decided to begin the education process for something new.”
Since joining Pratt, Scott has often described his role as “a blessing.” While acknowledging that today’s real estate market presents higher demands and tighter margins, his perspective remains rooted in purpose.
“My work is still a blessing,” Scott said. “This recognition further cements what I call the Ministry of Presence, which is intentional involvement in other people’s lives for their betterment, which in turn betters my own.”
As a New Home Consultant, Scott guides buyers through one of life’s most significant decisions. He believes his responsibility extends far beyond selling a structure.
“A house is simply a structure,” he explained. “A home is life’s cradle. It is where memories are formed, where families grow, and where lifestyle is shaped. That distinction is where I focus my attention.”

Scott defines great service through listening, accessibility, and communication.
“Great service begins with listening first and talking second,” he said. “Accessibility is paramount. Communication is the foundation of all business. Without it, there is no business.”
The Realtor of the Year honor is especially meaningful because it comes from fellow professionals.
“Life is about people and relationships,” Scott said. “To be recognized by peers is incredibly meaningful. Relationships with other Realtors are essential in this business, and involvement beyond sales numbers is monumental.”
Scott has been actively involved with GCAR through Leadership Academy and committee service, reinforcing his belief that contribution to the broader Realtor community matters just as much as production.
At the core of his daily work are integrity and quality.
“When we speak of integrity, it is about quality, not quantity,” he said. “I am called to do my best every day and remain faithful, regardless of what the numbers look like.”
Reflecting on his earlier years juggling nine bartending jobs, Scott emphasizes two essentials: mindset and work life balance.
“Every day must be day one,” he said. “You approach it with energy, optimism, and enthusiasm, regardless of yesterday’s results. And at the same time, life is not all work. Constantly reassessing priorities and maintaining balance is critical.”
Pratt Home Builders celebrates this achievement and the example Scott sets for clients and colleagues alike.
“Chris is one of the nicest Realtors I have ever worked with,” said Dawn Lemaitre, Pratt homeowner and owner of Dishin’ with Dawn Catering. “Buying my Pratt dream home for the first time could have been very intimidating, but Chris took the time to explain everything and really put my mind at ease. Thanks, Chris!!”
“Chris demonstrates integrity in everything he does,” said Bill Panebianco, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Pratt Home Builders. “Yes, he sells homes, but he also donates his time to many great causes throughout our area.”
“Chris is one of the most honest, loyal, and spiritual people I know,” said longtime friend Michael Alfanzo. “He works hard in his industry and always represents himself and his company with character, no matter where he goes.”
Pratt Home Builders congratulates Chris Scott on this well deserved honor and celebrates the leadership, service, and character he brings to the new homes in Chattanooga, TN real estate community.
