New Hixson Community Offers Low-Maintenance Living a Short Drive from Favorite Destinations

Pratt Home Builders newest Hixson community is now open. Amber Ridge is a stone’s throw away from Amberbrook Gardens, which sold out last year faster than any neighborhood in Chattanooga history. Conveniently-located near Hixson Pike on Cassandra Smith Road, Amber Ridge offers easy access to Highway 153, Highway 27, and I-75. The community includes light amenities like sidewalks, lighting and fountains as well as manageable yard sizes of approximately 1/4 acre so residents can spend less time on home and yard maintenance, and more time enjoying their favorite pastimes. Grocery Shopping

It may not be the most fun, but it’s a necessity for us all. Luckily, options are so close by grocery shopping will feel like much less of a chore and will become a “checked box” on your to-do list much more quickly and easily. Amber Ridge is less than 2 minutes from Publix, 3 minutes from Food City, and 4 minutes from Earth Fare. Visit the Walmart Neighborhood Markets on Ashland Terrace or Middle Valley Rd. if you’re using the pick-up service. For other options like a Walmart Supercenter or a Target, Amber Ridge is still less than a 10 minute drive.

Fun Shopping

For clothing, shoes, toys and more there are an abundance of options within five to ten minutes. Cruise along Hixson Pike, or take Hamil Road to 153 to Northgate Mall where you’ll find Belk, Old Navy, Ulta and an eclectic array of gift shops. There’s also a TJ Maxx (hello, home decor!) and Michael’s in the Northgate area. Just two minutes further, you’ll find a Target, Best Buy, Petsmart (we see you, pet lovers) and more. Across Highway 153, you’ll find more shops including a Marshalls, Walmart Supercenter, and Party City among others. For even more variety, Hamilton Place is just a short 15 minute drive from Amber Ridge.

Dining

The Hixson area around Amber Ridge has gained a tremendous amount of variety in the last several years. The tried-and-true franchises like Outback Steakhouse, Old Chicago Pizzeria, Chili’s, Red Lobster and Olive Garden are all within five minutes of Amber Ridge. Residents who want to embrace more local flavors and try restaurants unique to the East Tennessee area might also enjoy Lupi’s Pizza – a local favorite (the owner grows the meat and produce on her farm), Aubrey’s (started in Knoxville and now there’s a location in Cleveland and in Hixson), and Sidetrack (a cozy but swanky local favorite on Hixson Pike).
